The National Integrated Radio & Cellular Network (NIRCN) provides the IP and T1 backhaul for the TATRS, NyxTel and CTRS systems.
About the network
NIRCN is a secure, private backhaul network built by volunteers. It carries voice, data and control traffic for CTRS, TATRS and NyxTel.
Sites connect over microwave and fiber. On top of that runs Cisco SD-WAN and DMVPN, with STUN and RAD equipment carrying T1 over IP, Avda FSP VXLAN tunnels, and Signaling System 7 equipment for call and control signaling.
